Travel, Lifestyle, Leisure, and fun

Going to California was somewhat of a last minute trip when going to Vegas in October. We decided to drive to Cali from Vegas which would save on some cost for travel. Priceline definitely offered the best deal on a vehicle.  I love the great outdoors and the scenery was beautiful, even stopped on the side of the road to take some great pics.

Our first trek upon arriving was going to see the Hollywood Sign… and of course the access road was closed at Griffith Park, and after an almost four hour drive we were in no condition to take the 6 mile hike. That’s when you make friends with the locals!  We found out about the Lake Hollywood Dog Park which offered a great view of the sign. And if you’re taking a pet, a great park to take Fido to run around and play!

Then we hit Hollywood Boulevard. And to our surprise the Latin America Music Awards were taking place.  Extra perk of the trip, getting see some amazing stars. Though there were detours we were able to see the Kodak Theatre, and even stopped by Madame Tussauds.

Fun fact: The Latin American Music Awards were taking places the current day. These fans were waiting to get a glimpse of the celebrities walking the red carpet.

Of course I had to take a picture of my fantasy husband.

Back to the blog, lol.   With all that walking, a blogger had to eat. We decided to try out the Famous Roscoe’s House of Chicken N Waffles. I was not disappointed.  I ended up getting the Country Boy which consisted of 3 wings and a waffle. Not bad, If I do say so myself.
